CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

PURPOSE

The purpose of the cancellation and refund policy is to establish a policy to reduce last-minute cancellations and ensure an equal opportunity for students to attend training courses to enhance their overall professional knowledge.

POLICY

Once a student is accepted into a training course, students are expected to attend all sessions of each course. Those who do not attend all sessions will not receive course completion certificates.

It shall be the policy of North Net Training Authority to allow cancellations and refunds within the procedural guidelines or at management’s discretion.

PROCEDURE

NON-MEMBER AGENCY PERSONNEL
For a student to receive a refund, the student must cancel registration 14 or more calendar days prior to the first day of the course. A fifteen-dollar ($15.00) refund processing fee will be deducted from the total refund amount for each course cancelled.

A student may opt to carryover registration fees towards any course in the future if they cancel registration 14 or more calendar days prior to of the first day of course. Funds to be carried over to another course are valid for a period of 1-year from the date of cancellation plus the difference of the cost of the class, if applicable.

A student will not lose the cost of course registration as long as contact is made 14 or more days prior to the first day of course and provides notification in the manner set forth below. Full registration will be forfeited for failure to cancel enrollment(s) or enrollment(s) 0-13 days before the course start date.

Students will not be entitled to a reimbursement for failure to attend all sessions. For cancellation or a refund, the student shall make contact with North Net staff via email at northnettraining@gmail.com.

MEMBER AGENCY PERSONNEL
A member agency student must cancel registration 14 or more calendar days prior to the first day of class or the member agency will incur a fee of fifty-dollars ($50.00).
Students providing notice of cancellation shall make contact with North Net staff via email at northnettraining@gmail.com.

WAITLIST OR SUBSTITUTIONS
In the event of a cancellation, students on the waitlist will be given priority. If there are no students on the waitlist and a student must cancel, the student or the student’s organization may request substitution of an equally qualified person. This request must be made in writing via email at the same time as the cancellation.

EXCEPTIONS TO CANCELLATION AND REFUND PROCEDURE
Personnel or the Member Agency will not incur a cancellation fee or loss of the cost of registration for the following circumstances:
• On Workers’ Compensation Leave
• Fire-Related Deployments
• Mandatory Overtime Assignment
• Backfilling a student’s spot from the Waitlist
