This course provides the skills and knowledge needed for a Fire Officer 3 to safely, effectively, and competently develop a model plan for continuous organizational improvement, direct a department record management system, analyze and interpret records and data, evaluate an inspection program, develop a community awareness program, develop a budget management system, develop a division or departmental budget, and describe the process for ensuring competitive bidding

• Meet the education requirements of an OSFM Company Officer or Fire Officer 2
• Currently in the position of Chief Fire Officer (acting does not apply)

Certification: Chief Fire Officer
Standard: Complete all activities and formative tests. Complete all summative tests with a minimum score of 80%.

Upon class completion students will receive a California State Fire Marshal Certificate
